Began drafting the main menu for the game. While it’s far from final, and (admittedly) hacked together quite quickly, it is a start. And it’s about time we’re adding such stuff to the game.
I don’t know why exactly it is raining blood. It does not really make sense, but then again, we shouldn’t get started on that one – it is a computer game, after all, and as such things can just be. Axiomatic. No need to rationalize everything. If it’s perfectly acceptable that a plumber tries to rescue a princess by jumping onto walking mushrooms, evading hammers thrown by angry-looking clouds, then by all means let there be blood. “Why?!” was the wrong question to begin with, at least for this game.
